    United States Census…

    With the United States Census in the news right now (due to the decision to include a question surrounding citizenship on the 2020 form) I decided to look into the history of the census, as well as what exactly it impacts. Let’s call this active citizenship. We throw that word around with so much weight, but what do we actually KNOW about our government constructs and operations. At any rate.     Qualifications for President

    Can we talk about this for a minute? Are the qualifications to be the President of the United States too low? What exactly are the qualifications? I bring this up after Oprah made a powerful speech at the Golden Globes the other night (read here). Almost immediately social media posts began happening that suggested she run for president. I have an issue with that. Is the qualification for president so low that the only quality we look for is words that speak to us or inspire us? Because if that’s the case, I have some bad news.
